Contract Compliance

Chapter 19, Subchapter 11 section 19.50-19.71, of Dane County Ordinances provides the authority under which Dane County administers its Contract Compliance Program.

The Contract Compliance Program enforces and monitors contractor's performance relative to workforce representation of protected groups/members. Participation and contracting opportunities for emerging small businesses, minority, women, disadvantaged owned businesses are also monitored.

Types of Certifications Issued by Dane County

• Emerging Small Businesses (ESB)
• Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
• Women Business Enterprise (WBE)
• Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE)

Emerging Small Business (ESB) Report

• The ESB listing is available on the Dane County Targeted Business Directory at http://www.co.dane.wi.us/commissions/pdf/targeted_business_directory_2005-2006.pdf
• An additional listing of potential ESBs can be found on the Wisconsin Department of Transportation web site at http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/business/engrserv/dbe-firms.htm.
• This report is used by the apparent low bidder for County projects requiring ESB Involvement.
